Having a professional address is an important part of doing business.

Not a P.O. box. Not an ever-changing location. Not a street number in a residential area.

But a professional address in a commercial building in a metropolitan area.

The problem is, renting an office space can cost a fortune, and you’ll probably be locked in to a contract. What if you only need an address for state filings, business cards or letterhead?

Good news: we can help! When you sign up for Illinois Registered Agent Service, you can use our address for your business. We’re located minutes away from the State Capitol in Springfield, and we own our building—that means our address won’t change. Even if you move, your business address will stay the same.

Illinois Business Address FAQs

What is an Illinois business address?

An Illinois business address is any address in Illinois where you receive mail for your company. It’s as simple as that. But, you might want to consider the fact that the address you use for your business will become public. If you work from home and want to keep your personal address private, it’s a good idea to use another address for your business.

Can I use a virtual mail address for my business in Illinois?

Definitely! You need to use a physical address (not a P.O. box) when filing paperwork with the state, but with Illinois Registered Office that’s not a problem. We own our own building here in Springfield, and we put our address on your state paperwork wherever possible.

While our Registered Agent Service does come with 10 free mail scans, you’ll want to sign up for one of our Virtual Mail Services if you want to actively receive mail for your company at our address. Reason being: each of our virtual mail services gives you a unique suite number, which allows us to easily keep track of—and send you—the documents we receive on your behalf.

Will you send my mail to me?

When you get a business address through our Registered Agent Service, we’ll scan and forward 10 pieces of regular mail to your online account. (That’s in addition to all the state and legal mail we’ll send you as your registered agent.) If you need more than 10 pieces of mail a year, we offer three mail forwarding services, including Illinois Virtual Office with unlimited mail forwarding.
